Eternal Harvest Church Prayer is our first resource
NOT our last!
Pastor Earl Chiddix is a licensed minister, holding credentials from Family Worship Center International Church, Inc. out of Ulysses, Kansas and is currently the founder and senior pastor of Eternal Harvest Church, Elkhart, Kansas.
He married his wife, Beverly, in 1980. Earl and Bev have five daughters and seven grandchildren.
Becoming a teacher after running the "family store" for several years, Earl moved to Thoreau, New Mexico in 1995 where he became involved in the youth ministry of the local Baptist Church. Earl and Bev were asked to take over the youth program. For two years, Earl and Bev were the youth pastors of Thoreau First Baptist Church.
In 1999, he moved to the Eva Community as a teacher at Yarbrough School where he served teaching third grade for eight years. God called him into the ministry full-time and he founded Eternal Harvest Christian Academy, September 4, 2007.
In 2000, at a New Year's Eve "Watch Night" service at a Pentecostal church in Guymon, Oklahoma, Earl totally gave his life to service to the Lord. Not long after that, Earl began serving as youth pastor.
In January 2004, Earl and Bev started an "outreach" in the Eva Community-approximately 40 miles northwest of Guymon. After losing a building which housed the outreach, Earl started preaching in his living room which happened to be on school property. After the school board decided to stop the services on school property, it was decided to meet in other individual homes until a building could be secured.
One day, as Earl and Don, assistant pastor, were driving around Elkhart, they stopped at an empty church building just east of the hospital. Walking around the property and praying, a peace came over Earl and he instructed his wife to find out who owned the property. She found out the next day and the owner was more than happy to rent the property. March 15, 2005 Eternal Harvest Church was born!
A non-denominational church where Jesus is exalted, praised, and worshipped, Eternal Harvest is definitely a "church on the grow". With just five original members, Eternal Harvest Church has grown almost ten times that much already--and it's still growing!
Earl's vision has prompted a unique type of church where the traditional "Sunday Night" service is on Saturday Night with the idea of celebrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sunday morning "Sunday School" has been replaced with Praise and Worship.
Earl's vision for Eternal Harvest Church is to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and is aligned with Matthew 25--Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and those in bondage and captivity. A "service" church! A church set on a hill! A light for Elkhart, Kansas!
This walk with God has been wonderful, God has used Earl, Bev and all of the Eternal Harvest Church family in reaching the lost, praying for and receiving the infilling of the Holy Ghost, and laying hands on the sick and witnessing their miraculous recovery.
